The Absence of Fauna Records
If you are wondering why there are no detailed records concerning the fauna of the Valley, I should admit that I have never been particularly skilled at drawing animals, nor have they ever been a major focus of my research. What is interesting, there is also no such information in the Book, perhaps we were close in interests to the Creator.
For that reason, I ask your forgiveness for the lack of information regarding the other inhabitants of the Valley beyond the Villagers themselves.
We do not keep domestic pets. Tea Shearer occasionally interacts with crows, though whether they consider him a friend is another matter entirely. As for the young Red Dragon belonging to Tealer, I would not dare refer to such a creature as a pet.
Beyond that, I have little doubt that countless wild animals—and certainly no shortage of insects—inhabit the depths of the Emerald Forest and the foothills of the Left and Right Shoulders.
